On Saturday, April 8th, Ella Mai’s, “Heart on My Sleeve” Tour stopped in DC at Echo Stage. Before the show I had the opportunity to interview her. This is the second time she is headlining her own tour. I have been locked in as a fan of Ella Mai’s since 2018 and “Boo’d Up” took over radio; I have been waiting for this moment. Here are some things you need to know. There is a particular song on her album called, “Leave You Alone” that is my song!!!! I immediately needed to know if we were getting this song on the tour. I wanted to discuss her tattoos because I am thinking of getting more and I love that she has the small inconspicuous tatts that are meaningful. I just wanted to vibe and talk to my girl cause in my head we are good friends. That was the vibe I wanted to create and I feel like the mission was accomplished! We had a great interview. Stream Ella’s newest album Heart On My Sleeve – Deluxe. This will be the first time the songstress performs new tracks from the deluxe album.

 

The deluxe tracks are some of my favourite songs currently so I’m happy to be able to share them with the world,” says Ella. “I get to bring new life to a body of work that is a year old but remains very close to my heart. Likewise with the Heart On My Sleeve Tour. This is the first time I’m getting to perform some of these tracks live. It’s almost like reading your diary aloud in front of an audience, but there’s no better place for me to be vulnerable than in my music and on stage with my fans.”
